The closing ceremony was marked by the visit of the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence, Beti Assomo Joseph . As chief supervisor of the event, he toured exhibition stands across the base, interacting with military units and civilian exhibitors while assessing public participation and reaffirming the government’s commitment to strengthening civil-military relations.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was the award presentation session during which Beti Assomo Joseph, alongside senior military officials, handed trophies and medals to outstanding athletes who took part in the 14th edition of Cross Mindef.

The event ended on a festive note with performances by Cameroonian artists Malhox and Koppo as well as a display of the traditional Mbole dance at the Communication Division stand.
Security measures remained in place throughout the day to ensure the safety of visitors and invited guests.

The Open Doors initiative continues to serve as part of the military’s efforts to promote transparency and strengthen public trust by giving civilians greater insight into the operations of the Cameroon Defence Forces.
