The participation of the Ministry of Defence as a whole and that of the National Gendarmerie in this major economic gathering for the country aims at promoting peace and security, which are paramount to Cameroon’s development.
Given the importance of the event, the National Gendarmerie, as a key development player, has deployed its personnel on the site to ensure the safety of people and their property and to equally showcase itself through various lenses.
To carry out these missions, a security platoon is in place at the entrance and exit of the site. A stand is also set up alongside other forces of the Ministry of Defence, in order to provide a warm welcome to visitors who are fascinated by the military service. Specifically, the stand is hosting the Communication Service where visitors can get any information they wish to know about the Force. Visitors can also learn about forensics with the help of the Central Criminal Investigation Service, about road safety, and discover the Multi-Purpose Intervention Regiment of the National Gendarmerie, which is involved in the fight against terrorism.
The general public will also be able to have a close-up look at some major equipment used by the National Gendarmerie. These include command vehicles and scanner vehicles, among others.
