Fight against large scale banditry : the Baham Gendarmerie Company nabs an alleged robber
On 04 May 2024, at about 3 pm, Mrs Mopo Kom SIMO was robbed in her vehicle by a gang of six criminals. She was on her way to Bafoussam from Nkongsamba inside her Toyota Avensis vehicle bearing license plate number OU 652 AW.

The thieves took off with a sum of 8.550.000 CFA F, which represented her retirement savings.

After filing a complaint at the Baham Gendarmerie Company, an investigation was opened in order to find those who were responsible. Elements of this Gendarmerie Unit took things in hand and arrested the 42 year old alleged gang leader, who happened to be a lady, on Friday 05 July 2024, in Bonaberi, Douala 4 Subdivision. After the usual formalities, all the money was returned to the victim, to her great delight.

With her main accomplices still at large, the alleged gang leader was referred to the competent courts on 12 July 2024 in order to be held accountable.
