As an exhibitor, the National Gendarmerie showcased its know-how and raised public awareness on the importance of collaboration between the population and Defence Forces. A frank collaboration that will go ร  long way to help strengthen the Army-Nation bond, reduce rampant insecurity, and arouse the interest of many in the Corps. The event also enabled the National Gendarmerie to connect with the people who turned out in large numbers to discover its various workshops (Criminal Investigation, Law Enforcement, Road Safety, Counter-Terrorism and Communication).

For 10 days, visitors became familiar with the main equipment used by the National Gendarmerie in the performance of its tasks, and were presented a historical account of the Institution. They were also informed about toll free numbers 113 to report cases of distress, and 1501 to report cases of corruption, malfeasance, abuse and torture by Gendarmes.

Several state-owned, para-statal and private institutions participated in this 2024 edition of SAED, such as the Human Resources Department of the Ministry of Defence, the General Delegation for National Security, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, and the Ministry of Secondary Education.

This 4th SAED ended on a positive note and the next edition is slated for 2025.
