In-service training: 29th batch of the Command and Staff Diploma course graduates
On Wednesday, 18 December 2024, Secretary of State to the Minister of Defence in charge of the National Gendarmerie (SED/CGN), Galax ETOGA presided over the graduation ceremony of the 29th batch of the Command and Staff Diploma Course (DEM) at the Grand Amphi of the Combined Services Military Academy (EMIA).

This was on behalf of the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence (MINDEF), Joseph BETI ASSOMO.

This course aimed at equipping trainees with technical and tactical capabilities under all conditions. It was attended by 53 officers, most of whom are Captains. 18 of them from partner countries such as Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Republic of Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, France, Mali, Republic of Guinea and Niger.

The course that started on 22 July 2024, lasted 22 weeks, and had a 100% success rate. The graduating trainee officers were taught theoretical and practical lessons tailored to the current manifold challenges, including international terrorism, cyber-attacks, media propaganda, inter-community clashes, etc.

The 53 officers of varied Defence Forces Corps demonstrated discipline, dedication and exemplarity during this Course. The success rate achieved is illustrative of this commitment.
