8th Batch of Gendarmerie non-commissioned officers (SASOGN) graduates
The courtyard of the High Command for Gendarmerie Schools and Training Centres (CECIG), at Camp Yeyap in Yaounde, hosted the graduation ceremony of the 8th Batch of non- commissioned officers (SASOGN) Friday, February 28 2025.

The ceremony that was chaired by Brigadier General TOUNGUE Elias, Commander of the First Gendarmerie Region, representing the Secretary of State to the Minister of Defence in Charge of the National Gendarmerie witnessed the presence of senior military officers and families.

The training of the batch of 332 trainees started at the Gendarmerie Non-Commissioned Officers Training School on February 1st 2024 after an initial formation in Koutaba. For about twelve months, through practical and theoritical exercices, the non-commissioned officers were drilled on public order management, judicial police operations, organisation of the National Gendarmerie, Fight against Terrorism, General Training Techniques and many other courses.

According to Lieutenant-Colonel BOUM MBADI Louis Charles, Director of Studies at CECIG , the trainees had a satisfactory result; an average of above 11 on 20 with a total of 97 % pass. The highest average was 16 on 20.

In his speech, Brigadier General TOUNGUE Elias commended the laureates for their brilliant performance and urged them to stick to the rules and regulations of the profession, to be disciplined and to be good representatives of the National Gendarmerie wherever they assigned.

The colourful ceremony ended with the award of certificates to the graduates.
