The event took place at the Maroua Festival Square was attended by the Governor of the Far North Region, the Major General commanding the Fourth Joint Military Region, and the local population.
Colonel MOHAMADOU YOUSSOUFOU officially took command as the Far North Gendarmerie Legion succeeding Colonel NGUΓLΓ Joseph DΓ©sirΓ©, who also was assigned to the First Gendarmerie Region as Commander of the Centre Gendarmerie Legion.
Following the handover ritual and military parade conducted by the new commander of the Far North Gendarmerie Legion, Brigadier General ESSOH Jules CΓ©sar convened a working session with all the military authorities in the “KakatarΓ©” hall in the presence of the Governor of the Far North Region and other administrative and judicial authorities.
