Appointment in Territorial Commands: New Commander of the Logone and Chari Gendarmerie Legion Commissioned
On Friday 14 March 2025, Brigadier General ESSOH Jules César, Commander of the Fourth Gendarmerie Region, presided over the installation ceremony of the new Commander of the Logone and Chari Gendarmerie Legion, Colonel MVOGO ABANDA Guy Hervé, at the Kousseri town square.

The ceremony, which was attended by numerous administrative and religious authorities, was marked by the change of command between the outgoing Legion Commander, Colonel MOHAMADOU YOUSSOUFOU, assigned to the Far North Gendarmerie Legion, and the incoming Legion Commander, besides a special parade ceremony

In his speech, Brigadier General ESSOH Jules César congratulated the commissioned officer on the trust placed in him by the High Command, considering his skills and commitment. He then set out his roadmap for the new incumbent, who has inherited an area recently plagued by inter-communal crises and the resurgence of Boko Haram.To achieve this, he will have to actively combat crime, ensure that the borders are secure, step up intelligence gathering and maintain close collaboration with the local population.

Appointed by decree No. 2025/047 of 2 February 2025, Colonel MVOGO ABANDA Guy Hervé is committed to working tirelessly for peace and security in his area of jurisdiction. Prior to his appointment, the Senior Officer was Commander of the Road Traffic Squad No. 2.

The ceremony ended with a military parade and group photographs.
