Fight against drugs trafficking: a large stock of indian hemp seized in Noun Division
On 26 March 2025, at around 1am, elements of the Njimom Gendarmerie Brigade, acting on information, intercepted a mercedes truck carrying a large stock of indian hemp at the Manki checkpoint in Njimom, Noun Division, West Region.

A thorough search of the vehicle by the gendarmes uncovered 50 bags of Indian hemp concealed with cartons of soap. The cargo and the vehicle were seized. The three people in the vehicle; the driver, the conveyor and the mechanic, were arrested and taken to the Njimom Brigade.

An investigation is ongoing at the Njimom Gendarmerie Brigade to search for the accomplices. The suspects and their loot will be brought before the court of law in the days ahead.
