The Canadian School of Yaounde is a private bilingual school tailored to both Cameroonian and Canadian French and English school systems. In line with the Cameroonian school curriculum, the school organized a week-long event from 09 to 14 December 2024, during which a number of companies and other specialists presented their trades to students, with the aim of sparking vocations among them. Invited for the occasion, the National Gendarmerie presented its history, missions and different career profiles.

Lieutenant-Colonel NDONGO, Commander of the Mfoundi Territorial Gendarmerie Regiment (GGT) in Yaounde, interacted with students from the Anglophone section, while Warrant Officer NDJOCK SIELEYE Achille Junior, who serves as journalist at the Communication Service of the National Gendarmerie, interacted with students from the Francophone section.

Lastly, Sergeant GADIE, a motorcyclist working at the Yaounde Motorized Road Platoon, entertained them on the missions of a Road Platoon and the characteristics of a motorcycle.

These presentations enabled the students to discover specialty fields offered in the Defence Forces, particularly in the National Gendarmerie. Thus, they learned about the Central Services, Territorial Commands and Specialized Formations of the Institution.

The teaching staff and the students themselves enjoyed these moments of meeting with the National Gendarmerie.
