COMBATING DRUG SALES USE: DOUALA 1 GENDARMERIE COMPANY TAKES ACTION
As part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking, the Douala 1 Gendarmerie Company conducted a sweep operation on April 25, 2025, targeting neighborhoods known for the sale and consumption of psychotropic substances, notably Bonadibong, Deïdo, Mboppi, and Bessengue.

The operation resulted in the arrest of 128 individuals, among them 38 without National Identity Cards (CNI) and 04 identified as dangerous drug dealers. Authorities also seized 12 motorbikes and a significant quantity of cannabis.

The suspects were taken to the Akwa-Sud Ter Brigade for questioning.

An investigation has been opened at this unit to identify the alleged drug traffickers and trace the origins of the seized motorbikes.

Those suspected will subsequently be brought to justice to be held accountable.
