At 4 a.m. on 7 September 2025, following a tip-off, elements of the Garoua I Gendarmerie Company carried out a sweep operation in the Laïnde and Sabongari-Ryad neighbourhoods. This sweep operation is in line with the fight against trafficking, consumption and sale of narcotics.
