In attendance were Lieutenant-Colonel NGAME NSILE Hans Gontran, Commander of the Road Traffic Squad 1 (GCR1), his Deputy, over fifteen leaders from various Road Transport Trade Unions and Federations, as well as Motorized Road Platoon Commanders.
Key focus was on the review of road safety operations over the past three months, strategic planning for the 2025–2026 school year, security measures ahead of the 12 October presidential election.
Brigadier General TOUNGUE Elias emphasized the need for a transparent and constructive partnership between transport unions and the Gendarmerie. The goal is to protect lives and property, reduce road accidents, and preserve the integrity of Cameroon’s national road network.
The meeting concluded around 5:00 p.m. with the adoption of several key recommendations aimed at improving road safety and coordination.
