1st January 2025: the SED/CGN presides over the epaulette award ceremony at the Headquarters Brigade in Yaounde
Comme de tradition, la Cour d’Honneur de la Brigade du Quartier Général de Yaoundé, a été le théâtre de la cérémonie de prise d’armes.

As is customary, the courtyard of the Headquarters Brigade in Yaounde hosted the epaulette award ceremony during which officers, non-commissioned officers and the rank and file promoted to higher ranks for the first quarter of 2025 financial year received stripes.

This ceremony started at 10 a.m. under the chairmanship of the Secretary of State to the Minister of Defence in charge of the National Gendarmerie, who was representing the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence.

More than 1,000 military personnel of the National Gendarmerie and the Armed Forces received new epaulettes and stripes. This first stage of the day ended around 12:25 p.m.

At 1 p.m., the Gendarmerie Boss presided over the wetting of new epaulettes, this time in the courtyard of the Central Services of the National Gendarmerie.

After this, celebrations continued in the families of those promoted, amidst a festive and warm atmosphere filled with gratitude to High Command.
