Many young people are desperately seeking to make easy money through unlawful means. Thus, they begin with some despicable acts which lead to delinquency and organised crime.
This is the case of 29-year old NDI SENYUI PRAIT TINJONG and 32-year old KOUNDEH KEVIS, all resident in Douala. These two not only desecrate graves and corpses, but they also engage in the trafficking and sale of human bones. The most recent case was that of human bones from Misaje village, in Bui Division. When NDI SENYUI PRAIT TINJONG and his friend KOUNDE KEVIS arrived in Douala some months back, they choose to hide their good in a forest in Tiko Sub-division until they find a buyer.
After a tip-off from their intelligence network, Gendarmerie elements planned a scenario posing as buyers. Thus, they lured NDI SENYUI PRAIT TINJONG and his accomplice into bringing their good to the city. That is how they managed to arrest them as they were waiting to receive CFA 500,000, as bargained. They will be held accountable in competent courts.
The National Gendarmerie wishes to remind the population of its presence and readiness, and urges them to always report any suspicious act or individual, by calling the toll-free number 113.
