On 19 September 2025, at about 5:40 p.m., elements of the Wouri Territorial Gendarmerie Regiment arrested two individuals aged 30 and 43 respectively.

The news has been circulating on social media since Saturday, 20 September 2025. It reported the disappearance of an eighteen-month-old baby in the city of Yaounde.
Following this announcement, the next morning on Sunday, the Mfoundi Territorial Gendarmerie Regiment (GGT) was contacted by the child’s mother, who reported the case. According to her, the 20-year-old nanny, named Nanga Adeline, was responsible for this act.

At 4 a.m. on 7 September 2025, following a tip-off, elements of the Garoua I Gendarmerie Company carried out a sweep operation in the Laรฏnde and Sabongari-Ryad neighbourhoods. This sweep operation is in line with the fight against trafficking, consumption and sale of narcotics.

On Wednesday, 27 August 2025, the Secretary of State to the Minister of Defence in charge of the National Gendarmerie (SED/CGN), Galax ETOGA, presided over the ceremony to install the General Inspector of the National Gendarmerie (IGGN), Major General ELOKOBI Daniel NJOCK and the Director of Central Coordination (DCC), Brigadier General LOUBA ZAL Pierre.

The Manguiers neighbourhood, a crime-prone area of Yaounde, was in an uproar on Wednesday 20 August 2025 during the reconstruction of the events that led to the murder of MVONDO EKOTTO Elodie, whose body was found on 12 August 2025, after three weeks of disappearance. The population came out in large numbers to denounce the alleged murderer of the 17-year-old girl and his accomplices, and were ready to fight them.

On 11 August 2025, at around 4 a.m., a blue TVS motorbike with registration number MD6255NF35P1LO2423 was intercepted by elements of the Maroua Gendarmerie Company at the Kodek joint checkpoint, located approximately 7 kilometres from Maroua on the Maroua-Bogo road.
FIGHT AGAINST DRUGS: THE NATIONAL GENDARMERIE ALWAYS READY FOR ACTION
In response to numerous complaints and an increase in attacks on the inhabitants of Makak, in the Nyong and Kelle Division of the Centre Region, the Eseka Gendarmerie Company Headquarters, led by Captain BASSIROU carried out an operation, with the support of gendarmes from the Badjob Gendarmerie Post, targeting notorious drug trafficking locations.
