FIGHT AGAINST โMICROBESโ: A DREADED GANG OF 14 INDIVIDUALS NABBED IN THE NKOABANG NEIGHBOURHOOD
In response to numerous complaints of burglaries and assaults in the Nkoabang neighbourhood, and following investigation on the murder of 26-year-old ABENG MINKONDA Alain attributed to the gang known as โmicrobes,โ the Service in charge of Criminal Investigation and the Control of Organised Banditary of the First Gendarmerie Region conducted a sweep operation on the night of 15 to 16 September 2025.

At 4 a.m. on 7 September 2025, following a tip-off, elements of the Garoua I Gendarmerie Company carried out a sweep operation in the Laรฏnde and Sabongari-Ryad neighbourhoods. This sweep operation is in line with the fight against trafficking, consumption and sale of narcotics.

The Manguiers neighbourhood, a crime-prone area of Yaounde, was in an uproar on Wednesday 20 August 2025 during the reconstruction of the events that led to the murder of MVONDO EKOTTO Elodie, whose body was found on 12 August 2025, after three weeks of disappearance. The population came out in large numbers to denounce the alleged murderer of the 17-year-old girl and his accomplices, and were ready to fight them.
FIGHT AGAINST DRUG TRAFFICKING: MAROUA GENDARMERIE COMPANY BUSTS A LARGE STOCK OF INDIAN HEMP.
On 11 August 2025, at around 4 a.m., a blue TVS motorbike with registration number MD6255NF35P1LO2423 was intercepted by elements of the Maroua Gendarmerie Company at the Kodek joint checkpoint, located approximately 7 kilometres from Maroua on the Maroua-Bogo road.
FIGHT AGAINST DRUGS: THE NATIONAL GENDARMERIE ALWAYS READY FOR ACTION
In response to numerous complaints and an increase in attacks on the inhabitants of Makak, in the Nyong and Kelle Division of the Centre Region, the Eseka Gendarmerie Company Headquarters, led by Captain BASSIROU carried out an operation, with the support of gendarmes from the Badjob Gendarmerie Post, targeting notorious drug trafficking locations.
