On Friday 2 May 2025, the Commander of the 20th GSP had the honour of taking part in an enriching meeting with former firefighters, punctuated by a visit to several emblematic sites in the city of Douala, such as the Maritime Museum, the Mandessi-Bell villa and others...

The day was an opportunity to discuss the importance of the history of firefighting in Cameroon, a theme particularly dear to the Commander of the National Fire Brigade, as well as to share thoughts on the fundamental values of courage, sacrifice and dedication that unite the great family of firefighters.

The former firefighters also had the opportunity to present their association, underlining the importance of intergenerational links within the fire service. Together, they retraced the evolution of the profession, sharing fascinating anecdotes that illustrate the road travelled by firefighters in Cameroon.

This meeting reinforced the sense of belonging and solidarity, reminding us that commitment to serving the population is an integral part of their collective history.

This memorable day helped to strengthen the link between firefighters and their vocation, while paying tribute to those who have paved the way for future generations.
