Landslide in Douala-Logbessou: Three workers buried.
On Wednesday 17 July 2024, at around 12:00, the operational monitoring centre of the 20th fire brigade group was alerted to a landslide in the Logbessou neighbourhood, on the CRTV antenna site.

On arriving on the scene, the emergency services found that a landslide had occurred on a building site located on a sloping site. Three workers were buried under the rubble.

Two victims were evacuated to the Cité des Palmiers hospital before the emergency services arrived, while three other workers, all male, were unfortunately found dead after being buried.

The victims recovered from the rubble were handed over to the gendarmerie.
