On Wednesday 16 April 2025 at around 5.30pm, the emergency services of the 301st Garoua Fire Company were alerted to a fire at the Parcours Vita in Garoua. A restaurant built of temporary materials was engulfed in flames. Emergency services were able to contain the flames and extinguish the fire.

No human lives were lost, but there was significant material damage.
