A 36,000-litre tanker carrying flammable liquid had overturned on the road and was leaking.
The emergency response consisted of :
– Establishing a wide safety perimeter upstream and downstream;
– Working with the other forces to coordinate a diversion route to ease the flow of road traffic;
– Setting up a foam nozzle (on standby);
– Monitoring the operations to remove the liquid from the other tanks;
The response ended at 11:35pm to everyone’s satisfaction.
Traffic was restored and no incidents were reported.
