At dawn, the population who did not want to miss out on the golden opportunity converged in their numbers, collected tickets according to their order of arrival and sat under makeshift tents that were put up for the occasion while waiting for their turns to meet with the medical team on ground.

After going through the due registration process, taking of medical parameters, they undergo preliminary medical consultations and are sent to meet with spacialistes for their different medical concerns.

The campaign which is supervised by the Director of the 2nd Joint Military Regional hospital, Dr. Ophtamologist Colonel Koki Godefroy aims at highlighting the importance of health and welness. As it will feature free consultations in all medical and surgical specialties such as, gyneacology, ophtamology, surgical interventions, eurology, dermatology, otolaryncology, neurology, cardiology and lots more. Thereby emphasizing the commitment of the Douala Military Hospital to provide comprehensive healthcare services to all and sundry.

This initiative is not only about providing medical care but also about showing commitment to the well-being of the nation. Due to the fact that early detection and prevention are key to maintaining good health, about two thousand five hundred persons are expected to show up for the five-day campaign.

To further support patients there is a ten percent reduction off paid medications and fifty percent reduction on all laboratory tests while some surgeries will be conducted freely.
Local residents are very satisfied and expressed their appreciation for the initiative, recognizing the importance of health services.
