This ecosystem brings together startups, incubators, and research centers working in support of Defense and Security. Two organizations particularly caught the participants’ attention : the Smart Security Center (CSI) and the startup UAVI.

The visit to the CSI provided an opportunity to discover an integrated urban security system that consolidates the Municipal Guard, the Military Police, and other security agencies within a single center. These agencies share a common real-time video surveillance feed. This pooling of resources illustrates an innovative approach to public safety, rooted in information sharing and inter-agency coordination, which ensures increased responsiveness to urban threats.

The delegation then visited UAVI, a young company specializing in the design of combat drones. The presentation highlighted the operational capabilities of these systems, which are designed for reconnaissance, support, and engagement missions. It also demonstrated the innovative drive within the Brazilian defense startup ecosystem, which is capable of rapidly delivering technological solutions tailored to the needs of the armed forces.

At the conclusion of this fifth day, the study mission allowed the participants to appreciate the extent to which startup-driven innovation has become an essential pillar of the Defense Technological and Industrial Base. This milestone further reaffirms the vitality of the defense cooperation between Cameroon and Brazil.
