Organized under the distinguished patronage of His Excellency, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Paul Biya, the international business and trade fair of Douala FIAC opened it’s doors from the 1st to the 12th of November 2023 at the Bepanda Reunification stadium in Douala.
Amongst the entreprises that showed up for the trade fair which is in it’s second edition, the Ministry of Defence through its corps, specialized units and the administrative block answered present.
Through the different corps, specialized units and administrative block of the Ministry of Defence, like the National Gendarmerie, the Army, the Air Force, the Navy, the Fire Fighters corps, the Secretariat of State to the Minister of Defence in charge of Ex-servicemen and War Victimes, the Military Engineering corps, the Military Health, the Communication Division, the Human Resource Department and the Division of Military Coorperation, the visitors drawn from all Works of life left visibly satisfied with the explanations given which permitted them to have an inside on the actions and activities of the Cameroon Defence Forces.
The population of Douala and its environ touched and wore Military gears for souvenir. Thus giving them a clear idea on the actions and activities of the Cameroon Defence Forces as a modern Army which is an actor of development, a professional Army as a model in management, opportunity in the recruitment of youths as well as a major actor in the protection of persons and their property.
Medias were not left out of this discovery as they visited the stands to have a general view of the services the different components of the Ministry of Defence are offering to the public and in return give an exposure.
The participation of the Ministry of Defence at FIAC for the first time is a clear indicator of the undying bond that binds the Army and the Nation. A take home message from this platform offered to the Ministry of Defence merely depicts her unfliching support towards the population who they are called to serve with Honnour and Loyalty.
