SPECIAL RECRUITMENT GP-BIR 2023 : 500 PRESELECTED IN NGAOUNDERE, FIVE REGIONS GONE ALREADY.

The Special Recruitment Commission with mandate to recruit 2000 commandos for the benefit of the Presidential Guard (GP) and the Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR), which began on October 21, 2023 with a pedagogic seminar at the amphitheatre of the Presidential Guard in Yaounde, is presently in the Adamawa Region constituting it’s 5th bus stop. After passing through the South, Center, Far North and the North Regions. So far, no casualty has been recorded.
The first in the Adamawa Region, after the direct elimination race of 20km with a sand load of 20kg is 20 years old Nyapole Elephas who made the race in 1hour 37 minutes and received his jersey from Joseph Christian Abouma Biloa the Secretary General of the Governor’s office in the Adamawa Region seating in for the Governor.
Besides the enthusiasm of the young Cameroonians vying to join the Presidential Guard or the Rapid Intervention Battalions, there is a national commission, which is working very hard in respect to the road map given by the hierarchy, namely Ethics, Transparency and Equal opportunity for all.
If until date no case of casualty has been witness so far, it is thanks to the perfect collaboration between the different sub-committees who are not working as separate entities but as a dynamic team, making sure nothing is taken for granted.
The recruitment committee after Ngaoundere will be moving to the East Region precisely in the BIR camp at Letta some 52km from Bertoua, town to continue with the recruitment process.
