The week-long initiative, scheduled to run until April 17, was launched with a series of sporting activities coordinated by the Director of the Douala Military Hospital, Professor Colonel Koki Godefroy.

The day began with sports walk that brought together various formations of the Douala Garrison, including the 2nd Joint Military Region, the Douala Military Engineering Regiment, the Armoured and Reconnaissance Battalion, the Air Force 102 Base, the Naval Base, the Douala Military Hospital and the 10th group of the National Fire Fighters Corps, alongside members of the civilian population.
