In-service training: CPPJ hosts 33rd training course for investigative directors.
25 Gendarmerie Officers, including 03 ladies, are currently attending this course, which began on Monday December 11, 2023, at the Advanced Criminal Investigation Training Centre (CPPJ).

For over six weeks, they will be equipped with general knowledge, empowered in the conduct of an inquiry, documents for proceedings and major issues relating to reported investigations. These will be complemented by lectures and field trips.

The aim of the course is to enable trainees to master investigative methodologies, to understand how to direct an investigation in an intellectual way, and to ensure that communication is properly supervised within the framework of a criminal investigation.

Colonel ENGOZO’O Sylvain, Commander of the High Command for Gendarmerie Schools and Training Centres (CECIG), who chaired its official opening ceremony, urged the trainee Officers to make use of the lessons they will learn during this period, considering how complex is the new context in which inquiries are now conducted, with the rise of new media and the empowerment of users.

Thus, the National Gendarmerie is getting ready to send a new crop of better-equipped Investigative Directors.
