FIGHT AGAINST DRUGS: THE NATIONAL GENDARMERIE ALWAYS READY FOR ACTION
In response to numerous complaints and an increase in attacks on the inhabitants of Makak, in the Nyong and Kelle Division of the Centre Region, the Eseka Gendarmerie Company Headquarters, led by Captain BASSIROU carried out an operation, with the support of gendarmes from the Badjob Gendarmerie Post, targeting notorious drug trafficking locations.

This operation, run by Sub-Lieutenant MEDJOH David HervΓ©, led to the arrest of three alleged dealers caught with a bunch of Indian hemp. One of these criminals was notorious in spreading fear and committing several assaults in this locality. A search of his home led to the seizure of a military cover, ammunitions and other items.

Meantime, in Ntui, based on intelligence reports, the Gendarmerie Company uncovered an Indian hemp plantation. The raid, run by Lieutenant NKEMBATAAH TEOLE MBOLE Augustin, acting Commander of the Ntui Gendarmerie Company, resulted in the arrest of three farmers growing this psychotropic plant.

Investigations have been launched in Ntui and EsΓ©ka with a view to dismantle other drug trafficking rings.

The ages of the alleged criminals arrested range from 19 to 41 years old.

According to Colonel NGUELE Joseph, Commander of the Centre Gendarmerie Legion, tracking down drug dealers will continue relentlessly until they are completely eradicated. The same applies to those involved in organised crime.
