The two Generals, appointed by decree N0. 2025/310 of 15 July 2025, initially occupied the posts of Director of Central Coordination and Commander of the Third Gendarmerie Region, respectively, have been officially installed into their new duties. The installation ceremony took place in the Conference Room of the Central Services of the National Gendarmerie. Present during the installation ceremony were administrative, parliamentary and religious personalities as well as high-ranking members of the Ministry of Defence, Comrades-in-arms and invitees.
In his speech, Mr SED/CGN made it clear that the President of the Republic, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, chose these two Generals with regard to their perfect mastery of the military arcana. After having congratulated them on their promotion, the National Gendarmerie boss urged them to perform their new duties with diligence, rigor and patriotic commitment. He equally called on them to be fully concerned in the up-coming challenges that the Nationale Gendarmerie must overcome: securing a successful back to school and the upcoming elections.
Before unrolling the roadmap of Major General ELOKOBI Daniel NJOCK, Minister Galax ETOGA presented him as a living reference and an emulsion model for gendarmes. He posited that his high skills and knowledge, intellectual abilities and perfect mastery of military practices and traditions had long prepared him for his current great position within the National Gendarmerie. Mr SED then made it clear to the Major General that he expects him to carryout a precise and objective analysis as well as reports on how the missions of the National Gendarmerie are carried out. He equally expects, from him, an evaluation on the activities of the National Gendarmerie and proposals that could further strengthen the security measures of the National Gendarmerie in line with the deployment norms of the Corps.
This worthy son of Manyu Division in the South-West Region of Cameroon was admitted into EMIA in 1976. In the course of his 49 years of service, he has enriched himself with all military diplomas, including the Paris War College diploma. This new Inspector General has also been awarded several training certificates in airport security, counter-terrorism, criminology and investigative techniques. Furthermore, he has received numerous honorary distinctions at the Cameroonian and international levels.
Turning to Brigadier General LOUBA ZAL Pierre, Mr SED/CGN specified that his task is to carry out critical study of files and put forward relevant and innovative proposals that could help propel the National Gendarmerie to efficiently meet the expectations of the population. He further urged him to use his skills to help the Gendarmerie manage security concerns and challenges. Minister Galax ETOGA pointed out to the new DCC that he is undoubtedly up to the task, reason why his professional background, fortitude and leadership qualities are appreciated by the High Command.
This native of Ndjibe in the East Region of Cameroon graduated from EMIA in Yaounde in the batch “Bravery and Perseverance”. He is a holder of a Staff Diploma and a significant number of training certificates in various fields like the peacekeeping capacity development, security policy management and peacebuilding, as well as that of the post-conflict institutional reforms. His career is topped by 17 years spent within the Presidential Guard and twenty years as Commander of four Gendarmerie Legions (North, Far-North, Center and Northwest) and three Gendarmerie Regions (second, fourth and third Regions). He equally holds several Cameroonian honorary decorations.
Mr SED/CGN ended his speech by inviting all present to rise and give a round of applause to the two promoted Generals, in honour of their services.
