Following a report of motorbike theft on the night of 28 September 2025, at around 2:09 am, a patrol from the Mengang Gendarmerie Brigade arrested three suspects.
The suspects, who were traveling by motorbike from Ayos, were identified. Their arrest was made possible thanks to the vigilance of the gendarmes who, supported by members of the Nkoundou self-defence group, immediately set up a roadblock on the National Road 10.
During the operation, a motorbike and three machetes were seized, while a second motorbike fled the scene. The suspects were taken to the Brigade for investigation.
This action demonstrates the determination of the National Gendarmerie to fight relentlessly against organized crime and to ensure the safety of the population.
