A check of the documents relating to the registration of the lorry revealed that the company’s owner had obtained false insurance documents. Consequently, the lorry was impounded for further investigation.

The investigation, launched on the instructions of Lieutenant-Colonel NGAME NSILE Gontran, Commander of Road Traffic Squad No. 1, led to the arrest of three women, one of whom is believed to be responsible for the fictitious company that issued these forged insurance documents.

The victim, Mr KEGNE Beaudelaire, the promoter of the company that owns the lorry, commended the National Gendarmerie efforts in stopping the fraudsters. He subsequently urged his peers to remain vigilant and to work together with the National Gendarmerie.

Although these three women, aged between 23 and 30, confessed to the acts, they were still brought before the State Prosecutor of Akonoliga High Court to be held accountable.
