NATIONAL DAY, 20 MAY 2026: THE NATIONAL GENDARMERIE IN FULL REHEARSAL
Since Monday, 4 May 2026, the National Gendarmerie troops have been conducting rehearsals along the Reunification Boulevard in preparation for the military parade scheduled to take place on 20 May at the 20 May Boulevard.

These exercises are carried out under the supervision of Colonel Engozo’o Sylvain, commander of the High Command for Gendarmerie Schools and Training Centres, alongside Colonel Beyem Ebanga Armand, Deputy Central Director of Administration and Logistics. Several squares, each comprising 140 troops, have been mobilised for these drills, which are conducted under the overall supervision of the Brigadier General, Commander of the First Gendarmerie Region.

Regarding the Merry -go-round segment, Captain Yadou Pierre Erick, Head of the Gendarmerie Band, presented an update on the state of preparations to Brigadier General Louba Zal Pierre, Central Director of Coordination (GB/DCC), in the presence of Directors and Heads of Services.

Meanwhile, rehearsals within the National Gendarmerie will continue on a daily basis, in coordination with other Defence and Security Forces, with the aim of providing a memorable parade to the Head of State, his distinguished guests, and the Cameroonian public on 20 May 2026.
