FIGHT AGAINST DRUG TRAFFICKING: THE MAKAK BRIGADE ARRESTS SUSPECTS
A patrol conducted on the night of 17 May 2026 led to the arrest of SEH Charly Rodrigue, who was found in possession of a considerable quantity of Indian hemp. During interrogation, he stated that his supplier was the nephew of MINYOGOS MINGOS Paul Elkana, a resident of Douala.

Pending the sale of the goods, a search carried out on 18 May at their residence in Makak village, Song-Yogo neighbourhood, led to the discovery in the suspect’s bedroom of four wraps of Indian hemp weighing approximately 1 kg each, a bottle containing hemp seeds intended for cultivation, and several sheets of cement paper used for packaging.

The alleged supplier, MINYOGOS MINGOS Paul Elkana, aged 48, was subsequently arrested and taken to the Gendarmerie Brigade together with the sealed items, where investigations are ongoing.
