The suspects were arrested in several localities, including Baham, Bandenkop, Bandjoun, Bamendjou and Bafoussam.

This operation led to the seizure of seven motorbikes, two locally made firearms, and a large quantity of Tramadol, with an estimated value of 8 million CFA francs. The elements of this Gendarmerie Company also seized a large quantity of Indian hemp and drug commonly known as “rock”, valued at approximately of 4 million CFA francs.

The 21 suspects will be brought before the Military State Counsel on 13 August 2026, to face the charges against them.

Through this operation, the National Gendarmerie reiterates its commitment to combatting large scale banditry and drug trafficking activities that pose a serious threat to public safety and peace.
