Discover the Gendarme of the month
Born on 27 April 1993 in Yaounde, ETOA ATANGANA Sandrine hails from Obokoe village in the Ngoumou Sub-division, Mefou and Akono Division, in the Centre Region.

One of 03 siblings, including a brother and a sister, the daughter of ATANGANA René and AYO Jeanne Marie Françoise holds a Master 2 Degree in Public Economics and Public Management at the Advanced Programme of Specialisation in Public Finance in Yaounde.

 

Out of vocation and love for her country, with the concern to serve the nation, she chosed to join the Armed Forces.Thus, ETOA ATANGANA Sandrine wrote the entrance examination into the Combined Services Military Academy (EMIA) in Yaounde, and was admitted on 04 November 2013, in the batch christened “Peace and Emergence”.

Having opted for the National Gendarmerie and completed the Practical Training Course of this Elite Corps, she was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2018, then to the rank of Captain in 2023.

Captain ETOA ATANGANA Sandrine recently completed the 45th Junior Command and Staff Certificate (CEM) course at the Command and Staff College in Yaounde, with an average of 14.99/20, emerging as second best trainee of her class.

An Administration Officer because of her specialisation at the Koulikoro Military School of Administration in Mali, our young Officer plans to continue her career in the field of administration.

Reading is her favourite hobby, because it arouses imagination, she says.

She is married and has three children.
