Trainees of 3rd SCU Gendarmerie course on a study trip in the Centre region
The Third Gendarmerie Unit Commander Course started on 02 September 2024 and ended on 14 February 2025. It was attended by 60 trainees, including 52 Cameroonians and 08 from sister countries; Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, the Central African Republic and the Republic of Congo.

As part of their course, besides other modules, they took part in a study tour, which is key to the successful completion of their training. The aim of this module is to provide them with a comprehensive and broad view of the environment where they operate.

During their tour, which took place from February 03 to 05, 2025, trainees visited the Office of the Governor of the Centre Region, CRTV Television, the Passport Production Centre, the Centre Gendarmerie Legion, the 10th Fire Fighters Group, Boissons du Cameroun brewery company, and the Nachtigal Hydroelectric Power Station, among others.

After this tour, trainees of the third Gendarmerie SCU are now equipped with skills to understand the corporate world and the resulting security challenges.

Overall, the Colonel Commander of the High Command for Gendarmerie Schools and Training Centres was very pleased with the success of this study tour. After commending Hierarchy for the sacrifices made for this training course, he urged the trainees to put what they have learned to good use.
