CAPACITY BUILDING IN LAW ENFORCEMENT TECHNIQUES: WRAP-UP EXERCICE IN THE LOGONE AND CHARI
On Friday, 30 January 2026, the Logone and Chari Gendarmerie Legion Barracks hosted the closing exercise of a refresher training course for personnel of Mobile Squadron No. 33. The course, which began on 26 January, was conducted under the supervision of a team of experts led by Lieutenant-Colonel LEUWAT Patrice, Commander of Mobile Squadron Group No. 3, and co-ordinated by Colonel MVOGO, Commander of the Legion.

The comprehensive exercise featured simulated operations including the removal of protesters from a polling station, crowd dispersal manoeuvres, Reconnaissance and clearance of a barricade, hostage rescue, and the neutralisation of criminals.

The event was attended by the Senior Divisional Officer of the Logone and Chari Division , Mr FOMBELE Mathias, alongside Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers, and Rank and File personnel from the Kousseri garrison.

The exercise which started at 10:00 a.m. and concluded at approximately 1:00 p.m., ended on a note of overall satisfaction.
