
Within the framework of security cooperation between France and Cameroon, the Director General of the French National Gendarmerie, General Hubert BONNEAU is in Cameroon for a two day working visit.
The courtyard of the High Command for Gendarmerie Schools and Training Centres (CECIG), at Camp Yeyap in Yaounde, hosted the graduation ceremony of the 53rd Batch of student Gendarmes on June 5th 2025.

During the night of March 29 to 30, 2025, patrol elements from the Yaounde 2 Gendarmerie Company arrested three suspected criminals specialized in taxi-related assaults. The arrest took place in the Biyem-Assi neighbourhood, precisely at “Rond-point Express”, shortly after the suspects committed the offense.
In response to numerous complaints and an increase in attacks on the inhabitants of Makak, in the Nyong and Kelle Division of the Centre Region, the Eseka Gendarmerie Company Headquarters, led by Captain BASSIROU carried out an operation, with the support of gendarmes from the Badjob Gendarmerie Post, targeting notorious drug trafficking locations.
On Tuesday 29 July 2025 at 08 am, Brigadier General EKONGWESE Divine NNOKO, Commander of the Second Gendarmerie Region presided over a special parade ceremony at the courtyard of the Mboppi National Gendarmerie Camp.
