Biography

Major MOHAMADOU YAYA, holder of a  degree in Law and Political Science, followed by his basic officer training at the Combined Services Military Academy (EMIA) in Yaounde from November 2010 to December 2013. He belongs to the 33rd batch christened ‘‘LIEUTENANT YOUSSOUF MAHAMAT BAHAR’’, he was assigned to the 12th Motorised Infantry Battalion in Bertoua which was shortlived and later  detached to the National Fire Brigade (CNSP).

After his training as a Fire Officer in OUAGADOUGOU in BURKINA FASO, he did several other specialty courses. Before being appointed as the Commander of the 30th Fire Fighters Group in March 2022, he served as Deputy Officer of the 301 Fire Fighters Group of Garoua, Head of the Ngaoundere Emergency Centre, Commander of the 301 Garoua Fire Fighters Company and Deputy Commander of the 30th Fire Fighters Group.

Major  MOHAMADOU YAYA is a holder of Staff diploma and an expert in fire prevention.

OPERATIONAL OBJECTIVE SET FOR THE COMMANDER OF THE 30th FIRE FIGHTERS GROUP

In view of the significant rise in fire interventions at the 30th Fire Fighters Group (34% of interventions), the Commander of the 30th GSP will intensify activities on fire prevention. It will therefore be aimed at implementing the main principles of fire prevention which consist of preparing for fire risks, facilitating the evacuation of people, limiting the spread of fire and facilitating the intervention of emergency services.

Moreover, concerning prevention, measures will be taken to raise citizens’ awareness on risks, namely:

  • Training of the general public in first aid and fire safety, the objective of which is to provide the people with the necessary knowledge on first aid actions;
  • Raising awareness on the types of risks and the behaviours to adopt in the event of an alert;
