Making the roads safer : the National Gendarmerie reactivates road traffic flow controls
With the aim of stepping up the dynamic surveillance of road networks in the country, the National Gendarmerie plans to reactivate its Traffic Flow Control Patrols.

This has provided the basis for organizing selection tests to recruit new personnel designated to serve in these operations. Candidates were selected in all motorized road platoons in Cameroon.

The Head of the Traffic Bureau, Lieutenant OLANGUENA Antoine, together with Lieutenant NAINA Adamou and Sub-Lieutenant NDAHIROU Adamou, oversaw the conduct of the tests along the Yaounde-Nsimalen highway, under the supervision of the Director of Employment and Structures, Colonel BOUM BISSOUE Raymond, and of the Head of the Employment and Structures Service.

The aim is to leverage peer pressure among those selected in order to transform Traffic Flow Control Patrols into Elite Units composed of hardened motorcyclists. And also to reactivate these patrols to find new visions, in order to effectively complement the efforts of stationary surveillance posts.
